This Privacy Policy explains how freegameuniverse.org ("we", "us", the "Observatory") collects, uses and protects information when you visit the site or subscribe to our dispatches. We are an independent editorial catalogue of free-to-play games and we keep data collection to the minimum needed to operate.
1. Information we collect
- Information you provide. When you submit the subscribe form we collect the name, phone number and email address you enter, and the fact that you granted consent.
- Push subscription data. If you allow notifications, our push provider records a browser push token, your approximate device/browser type and the tags we attach (such as the source of the subscription).
- Technical data. Standard server logs may record IP address, user agent and pages requested, used for security and aggregate analytics only.
2. Push notifications (OneSignal)
Browser push is delivered through OneSignal, acting as our processor. Notifications are sent only after you explicitly accept the browser permission prompt that appears once you submit the subscribe form with consent ticked. OneSignal processes your push token and the tags listed above to deliver messages. You can withdraw consent at any time by blocking notifications for this site in your browser settings, which stops all future push messages.
3. How we use information
- To send you dispatches and push notifications about new catalogue entries you asked to receive.
- To operate, secure and improve the website.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to your data-rights requests.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except the processors needed to run the service (such as our push and hosting providers).
4. Cookies and local storage
We use a small amount of browser local storage to remember that you dismissed the cookie notice and to keep your interface preferences. 5. Retention
Subscription data is kept for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, we remove your personal data from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your rights

7. Children
The site is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age.
